The idea for Haunted Worcester was born on the car ride home from a "so horrible it was hilarious" ghost tour in a city approximately an hour away from Worcester. After the incredulity and laughter died down, someone said, "Worcester needs something like this. You should do this... just... you know... better."  There was more laughter.

The evening ended, but not the idea that Worcester DID need something- events, tours, story collections (maybe all three!) - to show off its cool, dark, paranormal side. We began researching strange events and spooky stories in and around Worcester county and were delighted (and not at all surprised) to find that there were many!

We ultimately opted to begin sharing some of the stories on our social media pages in December of 2018, and then moved towards creating our podcast. Late May of 2019 will see the first of the Haunted Worcester events and tours- 5 years after that first not-so-haunted-trip. We're excited to share all of this with you!

The "we" in Haunted Worcester is made up of Jess and John Curtin, Worcester residents who are smitten with the city and enjoy showing off its awesome bits to anyone who cares to look.

Jess is a special education teacher, writer, and artist who has long been fascinated by the paranormal. John, a musician, writer, and hockey fan (Go Railers!) is less enamored with the paranormal but has come to terms with living in a haunted house. He is in charge of the technical aspects of this project and keeping his wife from falling into open graves.
